Beyond society - who am I ?
Interest

I am JAVA man. My interest is to develop Java Based Middleware program. My head is running with two threads, one is for Java programming and the other is for social activities.

Job

I am working at Architel Systems Corporation close to Airport. My role is to develope a Multi-tiertransaction server for telecommunication companies. The technology I consider isComponent Based Tools like JavaBeans, CORBA, DCOM and ActiveX.

Schools

Chung Ang University (I like this Univ. because all my colorful memory from 20s is in the campus.. My love affair, friends, Soju, Kal-guk-su house..etc)
Major : Political Science (Still I love this social science in theoretical aspect but I am blind to interpret political issues in Newspaper. Only I learned from here is to view my world in macro. It is sorry that Professors in my Dept. didn't give me any pressure on study)

Univ. Western Sydney and New South Wales University - Wonderful country and my 2nd Home town, Australia. From here, I had hard time to follow up Computer study and got a taste of big country that made me end up with immigration. But not Aussie, they closed the door when I was out of there.

After study, I worked at Data Management International, International Value Added Network service company representing GEIS (GE Infomation System). I learn PC communication , EDI, E-mail

But I decided to get out of small company so I joined Samsung Data Systems on 1992. With lots of pressure for sales , I learn WAN stuff, X.25, Frame Relay and LAN. Above all, I was geared by Samsung style business mind. I met lots of good people there and all these experience help me to lead more active life

On March 1994, I immigrated to Canada and employed at Dow Jones Telerate on August same year as Network Technician
My work is supporting LAN to WAN network installation as well as Window based financial workstation.

Family

Hee Yeun - Wife, Our marrige is back to 1988 before Seoul Olympic. She is smart/positive/eager to learn as much as she can. Unfortunately she is unemployment.

Yeun Gyung (Angela) - 6 year old school girl,  Her interest is Nature and she likes drawing and  singing. She is original Korean, born in Seoul, speaks/reads/writes Korean as well as English Conversation.

Giwon - 3 year old boy who likes "Power Ranger", Speaking Korean & English with BIG eyes

All our family moved to Canada two years ago and living in Mississauge, Ontario, Canada.. Yes! I like Canada except long Winter.

Beyond society - who am I ?

If I were rich, I would have been a sociologist.
I am not studying Sociology now and moreover get no income from it. Only Sociology makes me stay awake all night having a dialog with someone who has same concern. More clearly I want to say my concern is 'Humanics'. Why ?

My question was originated from 'What is Society ?' -> How a Society is possible ? -> How the humanbeing create a Society ? -> Why Monkey can not make a Society ? -> What is difference between Human and Monkey ? -> How does a Human can have a 'World view' ? -> Why a Monkey's world view looks fixed while a Human's is growing ? -> Under what natural condition is a Human being able to be created ? -> How can a Human's mental space be amplified ? -> How can a Human learn and create own 'World view' ?

To discover a major principle to enable a Society, I had to study on Human itself. Also my concern moved to Anthropology and Psycology and finally become to pay attention to Modern Physics. To live awake in this life, I feel I should know who I am exactly and my mental ability , I believe, can surpass the currently fixed boundary of common concepts. A stone and I has a relation, which is more serious than people think. I can live because a stone is there and stone can exist because I am here. Under centain condition, I and stone can disappear from this world. I am sur-rounded by lots of unknown things. I want to know what they are.

I just showed you a piece of reason on why I think I am a Sociologist. I want to have someone who has same questions. I don't care about my aging and can get the scent of humen with my perfume. This concept makes me feel free and I believe human identity should be redefined in time as well as space. I am not same as yesterday's myself and different from tomorrow's. Only my consciousness grows and changes slowly but my identity is changed dramatically when I get a shock.

1960년 서울 태생. 현재 캐나다로 이민와 현재 CIBC Finance Inc 에서 
Java, Lotus Notes Internet Programmer/Ananlyst로 재직중. 

태어나서 줄곧 서울에서 수송국, 대동중, 명지고를 거쳐 1983년에 중앙대학교 
정치외교학과를 졸업하고 군에 입대 경북 왜관 소재 미군부대에서 캬투사로 군복무후 
1986년에 제대 1988년 호주로 유학하여 University of New South Wales대학원에서 
사회학 석사과정을 1년 공부한 후, 1989년에 University of Western Sydney 
대로 옮겨 전산을 공부, 1990년 석사학위.

1990년 8월에 한국에 귀국하여 Data Management Int'l사에서 System Engineer로 
근무하면서 주로 EDI s/w 기술지원을 하다, 

1992년 삼성데이타시스템로 옮겨 정보통신본부 신규사업팀에서 국제 VAN 사업의 
System Engineer 로 일했다. 

1994년 3월 캐나다로 전산이민.그해 8월 Dow Jones Telerate사에 Network Engineer로 근무
1996년 3월에 Architel Systems Corp사로 와서 Telecommunication s/w 기술지원을 하다가, 
      Java programmer 로 신규소프트웨어 개발팀에서 Internet 관련 Middleware product를 
	개발�. 
1998년 3월 부터 CIBC Finance Inc에서 인터넷 개발자로 일하고 있다. 

현재 캐나다에서는 아내 황희연과 두 자녀 (딸 이 연경 1990년 생, 아들 이 지원 1993년 생 )
토론토 근교인 미시사가에서 살고 있다.

관심사항 --	나의 관심사항은 내년에 히트 칠 Enterprise Middleware software를 개발하는 
것이다. 주목하고 있는 기술은 , Java, JavaBean, CORBA, DCOM, Distributed Object 
Computing,	Component Based Development, Middleware 등 이다. 날이 갈수록 반 
MicroSoft진영에 서고	있으며, Sun Micro나  Netscape가 성공하길 바란다. 	
전산을 떠나서는	한국인의 사는 모습과 다른 민족들과의 차이 
다가올 2000년대의 경제.사회 변화, 

사회활동  --	그리고 자원봉사활동인 신규전산이민자를 
위한 인터넷홈페이지운영, 정보제공등이며 	현재 한인컴퓨터협회에 간여하고 있다. 

종교 --	종교는 없고 윤회설을 믿고 있으며

사상 --	사상적으로는 노자.장자계열을 선호한다. 

좋아하는 학문분야 --	수학, 철학, 사회학, 인류학, 물리학. 

운동 --	땀 많이나는 스쿼시, 자연을 만끽하는 하이킹.

노래 -- 	산울림의 김창환의 팬이다. 이소라도 좋아한다. 
	서양노래도 좋아하는데 가수이름을 잘 모른다. 

영화배우 -- 	요즘은 영화 Phenomenon에 나온 John Travolta가 좋다. 

요즘 감명 깊게 읽은 책 --	일본작가가 쓴 '모오'라는 기업소설 그리고 	
	Lester Thurow가 쓴 "The Future of Capitalism"좋아하는데 못하고 있는 
취미활동 --	합창. 
좋아하는 음식 --	멕시코음식만 제외하고, 한식, 양식, 중식, 동남아시아 	
	(월남식, 태국식, 인도네시아, 말레이지아식)	그리고 그리스 식, 이태리 식등을 
	편견없이 골고루 즐긴다. 	
	그중 월남국수, 월남쌈등을 즐기는데 캐나다에서 인도말레이 음식을 못먹는 것이
 	아쉽다. 

돈 생기면 하고 싶은 일  -- 해외여행 (남한을 제외하고 어디나 해외) 

나의 일 --	현재 일에 만족하고 있다. 코딩보다는 설계, 디자인에 시간을 많이 소모하고 
	있다. 

내가 나온 대학교 --  

중앙대 -- 흑석동 골목, 중간시험때 들르던 소주집, 그리고 1학년때 F학점들..
		열심히 공부하고 싶었지만, 공부할 수 없는 분위기속에서 
		대학시절을보냈다. 대학 2학년때 부터 사회과학에 맛이 들려 
		하던 고시공부 중단했다. 교과과정에서는 별로 얻은 것이 없고 
		연애와 사회과학책만이 남아있다.   

호주 뉴사우스웨일즈대 -- 
		사회학을 하고 싶어 무리해서 유학을 갔다. 세계의 청년이 다 모인느낌..
		세상이 넓은 것이라는 것을 처음 알았다. 사회학 공부를 하던 도중
		취업의 불안때문에 전과를 결심했다.   

서부시드니대학 -- 여기서 나는 치열한 공부를 할 수 있었다.
 		밥먹을 시간이 없어서, 운전하면서 아내가 싸준 주먹김밥을 먹고,
 		전철간에서 샌드위치 먹으며, 수면시간을 줄여가면서 곤혹을 치루었다. 
		너무 힘들어서 포기하고도 싶었지만, 한국 돌아가면 나는 아무것도
 		아니라는 생각에 굳게 참았던 세월이다. 공부하는 방식과 요령등을 
		깨우칠 수 있었다. 호주에 있으면서도 수도 캔베라이외에는 관광도 못했다.
 		마음에 여유가 없었다. 지금도 아내는 그것이 불만이다. 그녀는 병원 통역일을
 		하면서 내 학비를 벌었고, 나는 청소, 접시닦이를 해서 생활비를 벌어야 했다.
		그래도 힘든줄 모른 것은	우리 둘에게는 미래가 있었고 호주의 환경이 너무
		아름다웠기 때문이였다. 
		겨울이 없고 여름이 6개월이 최적의 기후를 가진 그 시드니를 우리부부는
 		아직도 그리워 한다.
